Cuddles Charcoal and Pastel on Arche $1,500 SOLD	Cuddles is a Charcoal and Pastel on Arche. It is masterfully executed with the majority of the piece being the monochrome of charcoal. However the bright red of the Brolga heads stand in distinct contrast to the rest of the work.
Brahminy Kite over Cable Beach Oil on Canvas 78cm x 49cm $856	In Brahminy Kite over Cable Beach, Victoria has captured the expansiveness, solitude and grace that is regularly found on Cable Beach.
Cool Down Pastel on Arche 65cm x 85 cm Framed $820	Cool Down is a piece that was inspired by the annual Broome race round. It is an excellent piece to demonstrate the fine skill Victoria has with pastels. She has managed to capture many elements of the scene, such as the rippling of the horses muscles,and the spray of the water quite masterfully, using only pastel.

After High School I studied Nursing – first in Psychiatry then General. Becoming a professional artist was considered far too risky, and getting a ‘Trade’ behind you very sensible! I stayed in the Nursing profession for 10 years.

My partner and I went to live in Derby in 1982. I gave up Nursing and took up Administrative work, and started Painting again, but mostly I concentrated on becoming a Potter. By the time we left in 1993 I had a successful local Pottery business.

We moved to Mandurah in 1993, where I returned to part-time ‘paid’ employment and re established my Pottery business.

Slowly I moved from Pottery to Painting, full time. I have been a professional artist and potter for several years and have exhibited widely throughout Perth and Western Australia. My work is held in private collections throughout Australia. Since moving to Broome in 2003 I have mostly worked in oils, pastels and mixed media. Although, I enjoy all types of medium and love to experiment with new techniques. I have recently been researching print making and water colours. Learning and developing is an on going journey. I love the creative process of starting with a blank canvas or piece of paper and transforming it into a finished piece of art. I have traveled extensively throughout the Kimberley and feel passionately about the area. Inspiration is everywhere – the rich, vibrant colours; the sky, ocean, rivers, beautiful birds and animals and the majestic Boab’s. I feel blessed to be able to live and work here.
