Born : Kunmunya, 1947.

Donny is Mowanjum Arts Spirit of the Wandjina Aboriginal Corporation ( MASWAC ) chairman, and is the fourth eldest of ten children. His father Sam Woolagoodja ( dec ) was the last of the Worora banmen ( lawman and medicine man ) . Donny was the artist responsible for the Wandjina which arose from the ground during the opening ceremony of the Sydney 2000 olympics, which was viewed live by over 3 Billion people worldwide. His work is related to the imagery and teachings of his country, and his father and grandfather, and is a highly respected elder in the community. Donnys work features in collections from outback Australia to places such as Europe and North America, with his work highly sort after amongst collectors of Australian Aboriginal art.
